An Appeal From The Rabbi

Dear Friends,

With the holiday of Purim just around the corner, we take this opportunity to remind you that one of the main Mitzvot of Purim is the disbursement of  charity for the poor. In the most joyous of times and the darkest of times, the Jewish people have always demonstrated their compassion and concern for others. This is simply the Jewish way.

We, at Chabad of the Conejo, never turn our back on one in need. Whether it is a family suffering through some difficult times due a sudden layoff or a homeless hungry individual looking for some food, clothing or a warm place to spend the night, Chabad is there for them. We urge you at this time to consider sharing in this great Mitzvah of charity for the poor by making a special Purim contribution that will be used for this purpose.

Locally, we will be celebrating the holiday of Purim with “Purim in the Stadium” – a sports themed Purim festival & feast for the whole family. It will feature the reading of the Megillah, amazing sports entertainment, a DJ half-time show, a buffet dinner and a masquerade. Please make reservations in advance by calling 818-991-0991 or visit jewishacademy.com. It will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 4:00 p.m. at the Chabad Campus, 30345 Canwood Street in Agoura Hills.

You are a partner in our valued work. You are the builders of a better and brighter community. Please continue your support by making your contribution  HERE. Wishing you success in all of your endeavors coupled with the best of health, nachas, joy and a very happy Purim.

Sincerely Yours,

Rabbi Moshe D. Bryski
